The Journey Begins
Hailing from the enchanting city of Lucknow, India, my love affair with travel and writing has been a lifelong passion. It all started with a simple blog, where I poured my heart into sharing the wonders of destinations near and far. Over three years of documenting my journeys, I realized that travel is not just about ticking off places on a map; it’s about creating unforgettable memories, fostering personal growth, and finding solace amidst the chaos of life.
Someone once told me that everyone should have something they can turn to when their world feels like a messโan escape, a passion, an addiction, or a habit. Fortunately, I consider myself blessed to have two such escapes: traveling and writing. They allow me to find solace, separate myself from reality, and discover a sense of inner peace.
Why an Escape is Important?
For me, travel and writing have been my escape from the rigors of everyday life. The world can be a bustling, demanding place, and it’s easy to get lost in the chaos. Travel allows us to break free from our routines, connect with different cultures, and rediscover the beauty of spontaneity. It’s an escape that rejuvenates the spirit, broadens horizons, and reminds us of the vastness of our planet.
Why is an escape important, you ask? The world we live in is incredibly complex. It can be both beautiful and bewildering.

An escape can take various forms, depending on the individual. For me, it’s traveling and writing. For others, it could be photography, singing, dancing, meeting close friendsโthe ones who share their kind of crazy. It’s anything that brings a few moments, hours, or even days of respite, allowing us to find ourselves and calm our inner demons. Everyone deserves and needs an escape.
How TravelSole came to be?
Let me share how TravelSole came into being. During my trip to Khajuraho, the idea of creating a travel blog took hold of me. I’ve always had a profound love for writing, thanks in part to my mother, who writes small snippets, expressing her emotions when she’s either extremely happy or sad. As they say, to be an artist, you need to be a little broken inside. It’s from that brokenness, extreme emotions, and unforgettable experiences that my inspiration for writing comes. And so, I began penning down my stories and sharing them within my own little world.
The inclination towards travel was rooted deep inside me. I can trace it back to my childhood trip to Manali, Himachal Pradesh. Although I was too young to remember it vividly, Manali’s snowy mountain ranges, the flowing Beas river, and the ethereal surroundings left an indelible mark on my mind.
It dawned on me that I should share my stories and travel experiences with people worldwide. I wanted to connect, listen, and tell stories. Thus, TravelSole was born. It represents my steps toward fulfilling my dreams and aspirations.

You might recall the movie “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.” Before you judge, let me confessโI’m utterly obsessed with it. I owe immense gratitude to Ayan Mukerji, the director, and the character of Kabir ‘Bunny’ Thapar for entering my life at the right time. That movie changed me, igniting the travel bug within me just like it did for Bunny, Adi, Aditi, and Naina.
The film, which revolves around four friends on an unforgettable Himalayan trek, struck a chord with me. It spoke to the essence of wanderlust, friendship, and the transformative power of travel. It was a catalyst that motivated me to embark on my own adventures and share them with the world. Just like Bunny and his gang, I too wanted to chase sunsets, explore uncharted territories, and make memories that would last a lifetime.
